Estimates, not promises. Explore different scenarios.

Understand your result.

Convert annual CTC into an estimated monthly in-hand salary after separating employer costs, employee PF, professional tax and income tax. Enter your own salary structure rather than assuming every employer defines CTC the same way.

Start with cash gross: CTC minus employer and non-cash costs. The final monthly estimate also assumes the variable pay included in that gross is fully paid.

A worked example.

Using this calculator’s default inputs, estimated monthly take-home is ₹1,28,833. This is an illustration of the stated formula, not a forecast.

A common mistake to avoid

Subtracting employer PF twice, or assuming CTC is the amount deposited in your bank.

Questions you might have.

Is employee PF tax-deductible in both regimes?

This model does not deduct employee PF from new-regime taxable salary. For the old regime, enter eligible employee PF within the eligible deduction total.

Why can my actual payslip differ?

Variable pay timing, payroll TDS adjustments, benefits, recoveries and your actual professional tax or PF structure can differ from this annualised model.

How we calculate it

Cash gross = CTC − employer/non-cash costs. Monthly take-home = (cash gross − employee PF − professional tax − estimated income tax) ÷ 12.
