Estimate tax on annual taxable business profit and organise an advance-tax set-aside. Profit here means receipts after eligible business expenses, not total invoice value.

Use the annual tax estimate and entered TDS credits to understand the remaining set-aside. The instalment table is cumulative, so subtract advance tax already paid when planning a payment.

A common mistake to avoid

Deducting business expenses a second time after already entering net taxable profit.

Questions you might have.

Does this determine presumptive-tax eligibility?

No. You choose the applicable payment schedule and enter taxable profit yourself. Eligibility and the correct profit calculation need separate assessment.

Is a salary standard deduction applied?

No. This is a business-profit scenario without salary or other income. The scope and exclusions are explained below.
